A leading food manufacturing business with a portfolio of successful indulgent food products is looking for a high calibre Supply Chain Analyst to join the team on site.

 

 

Summary of the Position

 

Working closely with Supply Chain Team and Production Team to oversee Pots & Co system requirements. Ensuring enough packaging and raw materials is held to meet demand throughout the year whilst avoiding surplus levels of stock and subsequent wastage.

 

Supporting the forecasting and planning of production.  Responsible for maintaining the correct stock levels as required by the business and to manage international suppliers. Coordinating with other functions/department to implement changes and new systems (SAP B1 ERP). Develop reports from SAP to aid.

 

Key Tasks

 

  • Key user for SAP.
  • Daily monitoring of stock availability including packaging, supporting stock decks.
  • Analyse warehouse stock and suggest ways of reducing stock and minimising inventory. 
  • Forecasting and planning inventory for future stock demand.
  • Targeted with reducing packaging and raw material waste.
  • Co-ordinate the schedule of all materials to be available for site to call off in line with the forecasted requirements within the necessary lead-times.
  • Developing and implementing related procedures around the stock system to ensure control over all stock on site and at third party warehouses.
  • Minimization of any stock losses and write offs.
  • Managing stock levels across the whole supply chain.
  • Reconciliation 3PL’s monthly stock checks against system data reconciling all differences.
  • Always ensure that we have enough raw materials and packaging to produce orders.
  • Daily monitoring of packaging and raw materials availability.
  • Consistently achieve stock value and stock level targets for all our packaging.
  • Manage stock flow to minimise overstock.
  • Understand the supply processes and act as a support when needed.
  • Minimisation of any stock losses and write offs.
  • Drive an on-going programme of inventory reduction and optimisation activities to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Food Safety and Quality is a must and must be adhered at all time.
  • At any time as required, provide the business with a snapshot of stock position.
  • Liaise with 3rd party distributors and logistics providers to ensure the timely availability of stock.

 

Experience

  • ERP and Excel with at least 5 years’ experience.
  • International and national Logistics experience (preferred within the food sector) minimum 3 years.
  • Drive an on-going programme of inventory reduction and optimisation activities to ensure targets are achieved.

 

Core Skills

  • Extensive experience in planning (min/max levels, safety stock, short-dated ingredients etc).
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, sumif, countif and IF statement), analytical skills.
  • Planning skills.
  • Result oriented.
  • Collaborative style.
  • Familiar with ERP system ideally SAP Business 1.
  • Problem solver, pro-active, with a `can do` attitude. Passionate for supply chain and food.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to develop good cross functional, and collaborative working relationships.
  • Must be able to juggle multiple tasks and cope calmly under pressure.
