National Account Manager - New Business Development (2713/11v)

My client is looking to make some real change going forward in 2020 and consequently need an experienced National Account Manager to join the business and take control of the strategy and long term trading growth plan of Grocery and Discounters with several specific brands in frozen/chilled and ambient. This is a role with a clear focus on identifying and unlocking new business opportunities in Grocery and Discounters, so need a talented individual with a new business mindset. They already have existing business in these channels but feel both the time and the product set are right for further growth. 

We need the typical skills you associate with this level of position - strong negotiator, a relationship builder ideally with an existing network of contacts in Grocery and/or Discounters who can tap into those contacts and hit the ground running. We're a food business and you must be passionate about our products, as an importer, a distributor and a brand-builder, with over 50 years experience across all market sectors, you have to love talking about food and delivering on sales targets.
