The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and ambitious professional with a proven ability to make things happen and to unlock potential opportunity.

 

Forecast by the IGD to remain the fastest growing retail channel, the UK discounters are a strategically important focus point. The role provides the right candidate the opportunity to manage and further develop our UK Discounter customers as a crucial part of our Strategic 3-year growth ambition to take the company from £35m to £50m

 

As the Discounter National Account Manager, you will have responsibility for several fantastic accounts such as B&M, Iceland, FarmFoods and Home Bargains to name a few.

 

You will help develop a business plan and sales strategy that will deliver both profit and growth for a significant part of our business. Targeting new and existing business, you will develop relationships cross functionally, driving sales, ensuring they integrate with company and sector strategy as well as leading JBP discussions and negotiations. In addition, you will work with annual promotional plans.

 

You:

An FMCG background that has provided a classical sales training and an understanding of the core needs of modern account management

Experience of building and managing the Discount sector.

Strong commercial acumen and an awareness of current product and market trends

Excellent selling skills, demonstrating the ability to develop and build business

A track record of launching significant NPD and rebranding

Have the ability and confidence to make sound commercial decisions

An understanding of food import would also be advantageous
