My client is looking to make a step change in their Wholesale and Foodservice channels and consequently need an experienced National Account Controller, or Senior National Account Manager with team management experience, to join the business and take control of the strategy and long term trading growth plan. There will be a key focus on identifying and unlocking new business opportunities working alongside the team, as well as managing and growing the existing customer base.
We need the typical skills you associate with this level of position - strong negotiator, great team leader with an excellent network of contacts in both the Wholesale and Foodservice channels. But we also want someone with a real passion for food, who loves to get involved with customers and the team directly and who has a "what's new and what's coming next" type attitude to the marketplace. We have an ever expanding range of food products - ambient, frozen, chilled as well as confectionery, snacks, seasonal gifting, hampers. We are an importer, a distributor and a brand-builder, with over 50 years experience across all market sectors.
You will have direct line management of a team of 4. Yours to motivate and inspire to go above and beyond, and significantly grow the customer base and sales performance. You will be a hands on manager, someone not afraid of getting involved in the day to day issues with an account if needs be, as well as someone who can look at the numbers, the strategy and the detail, mould it all into a plan and present it back to the Board.
