Our client is an ambitious branded FMCG business with a portfolio instantly recognised brands that have a long heritage. They regard themselves as innovators with tradition. Their brands have national and international distribution. They strive to exceed their customers and consumers expectations alike. Due to team expansion, they now seek a National Account Controller to take personal responsibility for the Grocery business, managing a team of National Account Managers and reporting to the Sales Director.
This is a strategic role where, working with the Sales Director, you will develop a sector business plan and sales strategies that will deliver both profit and growth. Ensuring the account team deliver the strategy at account level. Your key performance indicators will include developing senior relationships cross functionally internally and externally. Driving sales and managing trade promotional spend, whilst developing retailer category plans ensuring they integrate with company and sector strategy.
Ideal candidates will have an FMCG background and be either a Senior National Account Manager or National Account Controller looking for their next move or a strong people manager with extensive experience looking to consolidate their career. You will need to have the ability to support the Account Team in complex negotiations backed up with a grasp of category management principles.
