Reporting to the Maintenance Controller, the successful applicant will be responsible for leading 3 teams of two Engineers working day shifts and a night shift, who respond to production breakdowns if necessary, carry out planned preventative maintenance on production equipment and site services, prioritise fault finding and carry out general repairs on site.

 

The successful applicant will establish priorities for the teams and will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance activities are achieved timely and effectively. The job holder will also carry out required maintenance activities, prioritise fault finding and will also be required to carry out general repairs on site.

 

The normal working week will be based on 40 hours working Monday through to Friday on day shifts. However, the job holder will need to be flexible when required, as the 2 teams of Engineers working day shifts work across 7 days a week and the team of night Engineers work from Sunday night through to Thursday night.

 

The successful applicant will be qualified in Mechanical Engineering with a good knowledge of Electrical Engineering or qualified in Electrical Engineering with a good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.

 

Knowledge of health and safety and previous experience within a poultry production or fast-moving food manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
